"Marketing Online" by Marcia Yudkin
I offered to write the foreward for a book about breast cancer for a woman I had met online. After writing it, I emailed it to her publisher for his approval. He liked it so much that he asked whether he could use some parts of it for marketing the book. One thing led to another and after several conversations online, I asked him what other books he was looking to have written. Within 3 weeks, I and my book writing partner had contracts for a series of books for the publisher. All of this came about from online networking that started off without soliciting business.
