Native Americans have always felt very close to nature, and their religious beliefs are filled with references to spirits living in the world around them. Use the Internet to learn more about America's first inhabitants, beginning with the Web site of the American Indian Heritage Foundation, a site you can find by searching McKinley's Magellan Internet Guide. And visit a highly rated site, that of the United Keetoowah Band of Cherokee Indians.

Finally, back to the subject of rain, read a lovely poem written by an American Indian, Rain Inside a Cloud.
