In his famous I Have a Dream speech on August 28, 1963, he said,

I have a dream that my four little children
will live in a nation where they will not be judged
by the color of their skin,
but by the content of their character.

Martin Luther King, Jr. was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964. His work championed nonviolence and equality for all mankind, and proved influential for many. More than just "another generic Monday holiday," Martin Luther King Day 1996 reminds us at OBS that his work remains unfinished.
